Strolling along Elizabeth Street Pier, Tasmania

The Elizabeth Street Pier is a few walks away from Salamanca Place, Battery Point and it has a nice view of yachts owned by the rich & famous. It’s a nice place to enjoy the sunset or take a yacht out and sail for the day.

You can take a walk along the pier before deciding on which restaurant to have dinner. Most of the restaurants here were docked at the pier and have such cute names related to the underwater residences. Marko Seafood was one of them and made our orders of fish n’ chips as those were the only ones on the menu. The portion was bigger than the ones we had in Melbourne though! You can share them with your family and friends if you can’t finish it on your own. I also noticed that there weren’t any chili or tomato sauce served so it’s best to just eat it like the locals, with lemon juice and tartar sauce. I think most of the people here don’t really take spicy food hence the lack of chilli sauce usage in any of their cooking. It is was quite laid back, enough to enjoy the places and scenery in Hobart.
