Announcing #RoadtripMy 2014
There’s always a good excuse to road trip.
You can say that the Visit Malaysia Year 2014 has rubbed off on me in an exciting way because it gave me a lot of thought on how I could contribute to this campaign. I thought it would be the perfect timing to launch Travel Chameleon’s first ever travel campaign called #RoadtripMY which will see me driving to various places and towns in Malaysia over the weekends to uncover something new. It’s also a great opportunity to return to familiar places, take a different path, catch up with the locals and to see how much it has changed over the years. The campaign hopes to inspire everyone to get out from their monotonous routine to see what Malaysia has to offer.
Be a local ambassador.
This road trip is meant for the weekend explorers, the curious cat and the adventurers. All we need to do is take a trip down to the next town followed by the town after that, the next state and the state after that. We may end up visiting the same places but our perspectives could be very different! I did mention how 2014 will go unplanned therefore starting this weekend, I will be visiting one town/location/places and explore its surroundings. This will be shared on the various social media channels as well as my blog post so stay tuned for the stories!
So shall we go now?
You could be part of this by leaving tips at #RoadtripMy on what you think would be an interesting place to visit and explore. Who knows there could be also be meet-ups along the way? This trip is for all of us so feel free to tag #RoadtripMy on any of your road adventures too. With that I leave you with one of my favourite travel quotes to inspire you to see the world like never before.
You are an explorer. Your mission is to document and observe the world around you as if you’ve never seen it before. Take notes. Collect things you find on your travels. Document your findings. Notice patterns. Copy. Trace. Focus on one thing at a time. Record what you are drawn to.
