Hong Kong : The Last Night

The last night in Hong Kong

I slept super early the night before, actually I slept right after we finished our meeting in the evening. The tiredness had accumulated from the morning I left KL! But I felt a lot better now that a little warmth is spread around in my tummy.

After sitting in for a full day meeting, we headed back and got some rest before setting afoot again on the streets of Hong Kong. This is where we stumbled upon a street on Kings Road which looked similar to the ones back home eg Petaling Street or Jalan Masjid India. The shops don’t close so early here and we wandered off to the night.

So many fruits at night in Hong Kong.

A stop at a waffle stall.

After a few minutes of walking, we stumbled upon this little neat looking joint selling waffles. A local guy actually helped us to order and when the owner gave him his food, he turned around and offered it to us! What a nice guy! It wasn’t waffle though, it looked like rows of egg shells but tasted like a waffle.

Since it was such a cold night, this warm peanut butter waffle kept us warm as we walked down Kings Road. People were still walking about to their destinations, hugging their warm coats tightly. As we were walking by, I saw the tong shui shop again and got excited because it’s a good way to end the whole journey here.

I ordered the same thing, beancurd sheets with barley and wished I could eat some more!Hong Kong I’m going to miss you and I’m definitely coming back to see other parts of you soon!

Desserts anyone?
